Contribute something

Help make a box feel alive.

WonderBoxes are made through many small gestures of care. You can join the contributor circle, or support the work that makes the boxes possible.

Overview

What contribution means.

A WonderBox comes together through a circle of people offering what they can.

Contributing to WonderBox means becoming part of a loose circle of people who may help create something for someone they may never meet.

Each box begins with an anonymous portrait—glimpses of a person: what they return to, what they’re moving through, what might feel like care.

We don’t assign or direct. We share just enough to respond with attention.

Some contributions are small. Some are unexpected. All of them are chosen.

Some people contribute financially. It helps cover the quiet, practical parts—shipping, materials, printing, access—so the care can move.

Process

How it unfolds.

Each offering is matched to a box with care, context, and consent.

You may never know where your contribution lands. That’s part of the practice.

1

You Complete the Artist & Contributor Survey

You tell us about your creative practice, what community means to you, what forms or materials you work with, and how you might want to participate in WonderBox.

2

We Learn What Kind of Contributor You Are

Your survey helps us understand what kinds of boxes, themes, materials, and forms may be a good fit for you.

3

We Reach Out When There May Be a Fit

When a WonderBox is being formed, we may contact contributors whose style, materials, or interests resonate with that recipient’s anonymous portrait.

4

You Decide Whether to Participate

If the box feels like a good fit, you can contribute something then. If not, you can pass. There is no expectation that contributors participate every time.
